Privacy Plain terms

What this site collects.

Short version: analytics only if you allow it, your message if you send one, and the server logs that keep the site running. Nothing is sold or shared for advertising.

Who is responsible

This is the personal site of Adewole Oduwole, trading as 'Wole Oduwole, based in the West Midlands, England. For anything about your data, email wole@woldezzy.xyz.

Analytics and cookies

I use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages are read and where visitors come from. It runs in consent mode. Until you choose "Allow analytics", it sets no cookies and sends no identifiers; Google receives only aggregate, cookieless signals. If you allow it, Google Analytics sets its usual cookies (_ga, _ga_*) for up to two years and IP addresses are anonymised. Advertising features are off.

Your choice is stored in your browser and you can change it any time with the "Cookie choice" link in the footer, or by clearing site data.

The site also stores your theme preference (light or dark) in your browser. That is not a cookie and is never sent anywhere.

The contact form

If you use the form, your name, email address and message are sent to me by email through Resend, a transactional email provider, and are not stored on this site. I keep enquiries in my mailbox for as long as the conversation is live and for up to two years afterwards for reference. The legal basis is the steps needed to respond to your request.

Hosting

The site is served by Vercel from data centres in the EU and the UK where possible. Like any web server, Vercel records standard request logs (IP address, user agent, page requested) for security and reliability and keeps them for a short period. I do not use these logs to identify individuals.

Links to other sites

Links to LinkedIn, X, Instagram, ORCID, ResearchGate and booking are plain links. No social media scripts run on this site, so those companies learn nothing about your visit unless you click through.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask what I hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and object to its use. Email me and I will respond within a month. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
